
Regulations
Requirements for participation in the Competition
School students will be able to present their projects in the following nominations:
• program games on Unity for 12-18 years
• graphic 3D design on Blender 12-18 years
• designing games on Roblox 9-13 years
• program games on Scratch 8-12 years
• program games or animations on Scratch Junior 5-7 years
The technical requirements, evaluation criteria, the procedure for registering participants and submitting works for the competition are listed below for each nomination separately.
By registering for participation in the Contest, participants confirm their consent to the processing of personal data. To interact with the participants, the Organizers use the contact details of the participants specified during registration.
Stages of the competition:
🔸Scr jun, Scratch, Roblox/🔹Unity, Blender
until 🔸🔹23.06 all participants must register.
until 🔸30.06/🔹7.07 guys should send us their projects
until 🔸3.07/🔹/10.07 we will check the projects, select the 10 best and send them to the jury for evaluation, they will select the 5 best projects that will reach the finals
until 🔸6.07/🔹13.07, finalists will have to prepare a presentation to defend their project in the finals
🔸7.07/🔹 14.07- Final
The finalists of the competition will receive valuable prizes (we’ll tell you about them a little later)
Prize-winners of senior Blender / Unity disciplines will receive 🧑🏻🎓grants from our academic sponsors - Unic, Uclan universities - scholarships from 25 to 50% for the first year of study at the university
Participants in the finals can defend their projects online, so absence on the island is not an obstacle to participation.
Creating a cartoon on Scratch Junior
Technical task
Participants must create a game on an arbitrary theme, in which:

The game should have 4 scenes (initial scene, 1-2 levels of the game, winning scene, losing scene).

On the first scene, create a short cartoon explaining the game plot and what the player has to do.

The game must have 2 outcomes: winning and losing.
-
When losing, there should be an opportunity to start the game again.
-
The game must have at least 6 sprites: the main character, minor characters, enemies.
-
The size of sprites should not exceed 1/4 of the scene size.
-
The game should start when you click on the "green flag".
-
The game must have a gamepad or buttons to control the main character (arrows to move up, down, left and right).
-
Use "message passing" commands between sprites.
-
Use "touch" commands between sprites.
-
All scenes and characters should be neatly drawn and nicely designed.
-
All elements of the game should work correctly and without errors.
-
The game should be authored, interesting and exciting.
The game must be provided on a tablet or can be captured from the tablet screen in good quality and transmitted electronically. It must be possible to see how the game is programmed.
Delivery of the project :
No later than 24:00 on 30/06/2025, participants must:

Consultation: All participants are entitled to 2 group consultations on the project.
Making games with Scratch
Technical task
Participants must create a game on an arbitrary theme with:

at least 3 levels
-
animated screen saver before and after the game;
-
all scripts work correctly without manual code editing, i.e. sprites start a new level in the right place, they are easy to control;
-
the rules, level objectives and character controls are clear to the player;
-
the game can be won and lost;
-
the description states the objective, rules of the game and controls;
-
the description indicates the age and name of the author
-
the start or finish screen saver must include the logo of the contest, which can be downloaded here.
Procedures and deadlines for project delivery:
1.No later than 12:00 noon on 23/06/2025 participants must register via Google form
2. By 12:00 noon on 30/06/2025, publish the project in the public domain on the scratch.mit.edu portal with the hashtag #RobolabChallenge2025
3. Our recommendation is to immediately create the project on the portal in your personal account.
The project description should include:
a.Name and age of the author
b.Description and purpose of the game c.Main control elements

Game design Roblox
Technical task
Create a game on an arbitrary theme containing:
1. At least 3 levels (start, game, finish), an increase in the number of levels will be plus
2. The game must have a goal and a win at the end, there must be a distinct victory moment.
3. Toolbox can be used in decorations. And also (no more than four models specifically in the gameplay (weapons like in a shooter or cars like in races)
4. The logo of the competition in the start and finish scene ( can be downloaded here )
Estimated:
1 . Gameplay (how much fun this game is to play)
2. Design (graphics and interface)
3. Scripts work (the game works without errors)
Delivery of the project :
No later than 24:00 on 30/06/2025, participants must:
1. Register via Google form
2. Publish a public project on the Roblox.com platform and add a description (1)
3. Upload your project to Google Drive and send the link to FB messenger ( https://m.me/robbo.cyprus )
The project description must indicate
a. Name and age of the author
b. Description and purpose of the game
c. Basic controls

3D modeling with Blender
Criteria for evaluation:

The visual appeal of the work, how well the different shapes and details fit into the overall idea of the scene/work
-
The originality of the work, the use of new and unusual details and forms.

The technical requirements described in the “technical requirements” paragraph
-
Getting into the theme of the competition, in lore, and the general idea of the theme. (Your own vision and unusual interpretation of the theme is acceptable within reasonable limits and will be evaluated along with the Originality criterion.)

Competition theme:
Create a stylized scene from a movie.
Please note: you can create a scene from any movie, cartoon or anime. The main thing is to save references for presenting your work.
PS Please do not copy the provided references. We have already seen them.
Technical requirements:

Delivery of the project :
1. Register via Google form
2. Specify a link to a WebGL project hosted on the simmer.io platform (placement instruction https://youtu.be/5we9W_CEIb0 )
3. Send a link to the simmer.io project on Facebook messenger ( https://m.me/robbo.cyprus )
4. Send a link to the GitHub project on Facebook messenger ( https://m.me/robbo.cyprus )
5. Create a video presentation describing the game, send a link to the presentation ( https://m.me/robbo.cyprus )
6. Specify the description of the game in the project repository on GithHub and Simmer.io (1)
6.1 in the description of the GitHub repository, indicate the link to Simmer
6.2 in the simmer project, specify a link to GitHub in the description
7. Give a summary for each commit in GitHub with an explanation of each change (2)
(1) The project description must indicate
a. Name and age of the author

(2) Git is a version control technology, so projects with a complete and finished project checked out at once will raise a lot of questions.
The GitHub repository is an indicator of your progress on a project. Additional points will be awarded if the number of full-fledged commits is more than 3. A full-fledged commit is a commit with a description and at least 1 modified file. Commits without modified files will not be counted.
